When you’re planning your wedding, you’re not just hiring vendors — you’re building a team. And one of the most important relationships on that team is between your photo and video crew.

A well-matched photo and video team can make your day feel seamless. A mismatched one? That can mean missed moments, clashing directions, and tension in the background. Not ideal.

Here’s how we approach working as one crew — and what to look for if you’re hiring photo and video separately.

Same Goal, Shared Flow

Photo and video should feel like two parts of the same story, not two different productions competing for time and space.

Whether we’re capturing your first look, your vows, or your dance floor chaos, we’re both working toward the same thing: preserving your day honestly, beautifully, and without pulling you in a million directions.

We shoot with intention, take turns when needed, and communicate clearly throughout the day — often without saying much at all, because we’ve done this together so many times.

If You're Booking Photo + Video With Us

The good news? We’ve got it down. We already know how to give each other space, light things in a way that works for both cameras, and keep things moving so you’re not repeating emotional moments just to “get the shot.”

You don’t need to manage us — we’re synced up from start to finish.

Our video lead, Denham, brings a cinematic eye and a deep understanding of how to work within real-time wedding energy. No staging things that weren’t real. No slowing down your day. Just solid storytelling with a professional rhythm.

If You're Booking a Separate Video Team

Totally fine — we work with outside vendors all the time. But communication is everything.

A few things to ask:

  • Will your video team collaborate with photo on timelines and lighting?
  • Do they use large rigs or lots of audio gear that may slow things down?
  • Will they need additional time for filming details, vows, or getting ready?
  • Do they prefer a staged approach or more documentary-style shooting?

If you’re not sure how they’ll work together, just connect us ahead of time. We’re happy to coordinate so everyone’s clear before the wedding day starts.

What You Shouldn’t Have to Worry About

  • One team blocking the other’s shots
  • Competing priorities during portraits
  • Missed ceremony reactions because of poor planning
  • Feeling like you’re being pulled in two different directions

You should be fully in the moment. A good photo + video team fades into the background while still catching every part of it.

Here’s the Bottom Line

Whether you hire us for photo, video, or both — we care about telling your story with consistency and respect for your time, energy, and the people you love.

We work well with others. But when you hire a team that already knows how to move together, you get one less thing to worry about — and a whole lot more ease on your wedding day.
